Where did the Pandavas go after renouncing the Hastinapur Kingdom?

The serial Mahabharat doesn’t tell where did the Pandavas go after renouncing the Hastinapur Kingdom. The tale of Mahabharat is well recounted unitl the Pandavas defeated the Kauravas and reclaimed the kingdom of Hastinapur. But, what happened after that is very little known. The five Pandava brothers and their common wife Draupadi ruled Hastinapur and Indraprastha for 36 years. But, after that they decided to renounce the worldly possessions and go in search of Moksha. Let’s find out the name of the place they went to after 36 years in search of Moksha.

Where did the Pandavas go after renouncing the Hastinapur Kingdom

The Pandavas with their wife Draupadi went to Pandu cave from where they found the way to heaven. Pandu cave is in Gangotri, Uttarakhand. The cave is still there in Gangtori which is accessible only through a trek.

After reaching the cave, they couldn’t go any further as it happened to be the last point which could be reached by walking then. After that, they departed one by one for heaven.
